IHS content platform to host and resell select content from Taylor & Francis Group's CRC Press

IHS Inc., a global source of critical information and insight, and Taylor & Francis Group, publishers of scholarly journals, books, eBooks and reference works, have announced that IHS will host and resell select content from Taylor & Francis Group's CRC Press on the renowned IHS search platform used by corporate and government researchers worldwide. As part of the agreement, researchers using the IHS platform will gain immediate access to Taylor & Francis Group's world-class authoritative content from CRC Press.

The Wellcome Library and Jisc sign new three year agreement to digitise over 10 million pages

The Wellcome Library and Jisc have signed a new three year agreement for the digitisation of more than 10 million pages of 19th century published works. These are focused on medicine and related disciplines and drawn from university and other research libraries across the UK. Jisc will support the digitisation of complementary collections which are housed within universities to create a comprehensive online resource for the history of medicine and related sciences.

McGraw-Hill Professional in deal with Atypon to power McGraw-Hill Education eBook library

McGraw-Hill Professional, a division of McGraw-Hill Education, has signed an agreement with Atypon for Literatum to power the McGraw-Hill Education eBook Library. Databib and re3data.org merge two projects into one service

Databib and "re3data.org – Registry of Research Data Repositories" have announced their plan to merge their two projects into one service that will be managed under the auspices of DataCite by the end of 2015. Their joint proposal to the DataCite General Assembly has been approved in advance of the 3rd Plenary Meeting of the Research Data Alliance (RDA) in Dublin, Ireland.

ALCTS seeks ALCTS News editor

The Association for Library Collections and Technical Services (ALCTS) is inviting applications and nominations for the position of editor of the ALCTS News, the association's official news source. ALCTS News is a digital news website. The editor will be appointed for a renewable three-year term, beginning July 1, 2014, just after the American Library Association (ALA) Annual Conference in Las Vegas.
