The Intellectual Property & Science business of Thomson Reuters has announced a collaboration with Susan G. Komen, the world's largest breast cancer organisation. As part of this relationship, Susan G. Komen will have special access to Thomson Reuters Web of Science to contextualise and determine the efficacy of research it funds within the broader breast cancer research landscape.

Elsevier publishes five new books on toxicology

STM publisher Elsevier has announced the publication of five new books on toxicology, including Biomarkers in Toxicology by Ramesh C. Gupta. Advancing clinical and translational toxicology and the application of biomarkers is a major theme at the Society of Toxicology Annual Meeting and ToxExpo in Phoenix this week. These new books will be on display at Elsevier's ToxExpo booth #825.

NISO seeks comments on draft recommended practice Demand-Driven Acquisition of Monographs

The National Information Standards Organization (NISO) is seeking comments on the draft recommended practice Demand-Driven Acquisition of Monographs (NISO RP-20-201x). Launched in June 2012, the NISO Demand Driven Acquisition (DDA) Working Group was charged with developing a flexible model for DDA (also referred to as patron-driven acquisition) that works for publishers, vendors, aggregators, and libraries.
