Elsevier launches new OA journal - Interdisciplinary Neurosurgery: Advanced Techniques and Case Management

STM publisher Elsevier has announced the launch of open access journal, Interdisciplinary Neurosurgery: Advanced Techniques and Case Management. The first published articles will become available for access online on ScienceDirect in the first quarter of 2014. Petra Klinge, Associate Professor of Neurosurgery, The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, will serve as the Editor-in-Chief of the journal.

LWW journals win eight awards in four categories at 2013 FOLIO: Eddie & Ozzie Awards

Healthcare information provider Wolters Kluwer Health has announced that its Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (LWW) medical and nursing journals won eight awards in four categories at the 2013 FOLIO: Eddie & Ozzie Awards. Taking home the top spot in the "Best Full Issue BtoB Category," was Neurology® Clinical Practice, an official publication of the American Academy of Neurology.

ARL and Ithaka S+R's free web seminar to bring together leaders of seven of the eight cases profiled in the Searching for Sustainability report

The Association of Research Libraries (ARL) and Ithaka S+R are offering a free web seminar that will bring together leaders of seven of the eight cases profiled in the recently published study funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), Searching for Sustainability: Strategies from Eight Digitized Special Collections, to share lessons from their own experience in developing and supporting their digital resources. The web seminar is scheduled for January 31, 2014, noon–1:15 p.m. EST.
