Wiley and The Cochrane Collaboration launch new health professional development resource - Cochrane Learning

The Cochrane Collaboration and John Wiley & Sons, Inc. have extended their partnership by launching a new health professional development resource called Cochrane Learning. Under the Cochrane Learning umbrella, The Cochrane Collaboration and Wiley will deliver a suite of online, evidence-based resources designed to close the knowledge translation gap, to support health professionals as part of their continuing professional development and to improve patient care.

Royal Society of Chemistry announces new Chemical Sciences Repository

The Royal Society of Chemistry has announced a new subject-based repository that will make it easier for researchers to find and share relevant journal articles and data from a single point of access. The initial release will provide an article repository as a central point through which users can access the Royal Society of Chemistry's open access articles.

Two-day conference highlights growing interest in using art to train physicians

STM publisher Elsevier has announced the Art + Medicine: How Art Can Make Better Doctors conference. Co-sponsored by Jefferson Medical College and Elsevier, the conference is scheduled to be held from November 2-3, 2013, at Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia. It coincides with the annual meeting of the American Association of Medical Colleges in Philadelphia.
