Around 276,000 visitors attend Frankfurt Book Fair 2013 |
The Frankfurt Book Fair closed on October 13 with around 7,300 exhibitors in total, from over 100 countries. Altogether 275,342 visitors attended the Fair (October 9 - 13), of which 142,921 were present during the trade visitors' days. New conference formats, such as CONTEC and StoryDrive, contributed to the rapidly changing face of the Book Fair, and to the fact that it now attracts new groups of visitors. More

STM publisher Elsevier has announced the launch of the Journal of High Energy Astrophysics (JHEAp), the first astrophysical journal that revolves around the study of high energy objects and events. The journal targets research on energetic phenomena in the universe. UNEP announces landmark initiative to digitise publications and official documents |
The United Nation's Environment Programme (UNEP) has announced that its Division of Communication and Public Information (DCPI) recently launched a trailblazing new project to digitise the organisation's books, reference materials and other publications. The Dingley Press will be sold to and privately held by Christopher Pierce, from whom Sheridan purchased Dingley in 2004. More
