STM publishers present copyright and licensing options for a digital European future

A broad coalition of STM publishers have been supporting the European Commission's 'Licenses for Europe' initiative to demonstrate their continuing commitment to appropriate copyright and licensing within the new digital landscape which is emerging across the continent. As part of this engagement, publishers have pledged support to a roadmap to enable text and data mining (TDM) for non-commercial scientific research within the European Union.

Elsevier unveils adaptive study solution for improved learning and memory retention for nursing and health professions

STM publisher Elsevier has announced the launch of Elsevier Adaptive Learning, a personalised learning experience for nursing and health profession students that maximises the efficacy and efficiency of learning, memory and retrieval of knowledge in an effort to improve learning outcomes. This launch is part of a partnership between Elsevier and Cerego, centered upon meaningfully improving learning outcomes through powerful adaptive learning solutions.

Springer and Brazilian Society of Adhesion and Adhesives announce publishing partnership

STM publisher Springer and the Brazilian Society of Adhesion and Adhesives have announced a partnership to publish the new open access journal Applied Adhesion Science. The publication strengthens Springer's open access portfolio, which now comprises over 400 journals. Professor Silvio Romero de Barros, Professor at the Federal Centers of Technological Education, Rio de Janeiro, will serve as the Editor-in-chief of the journal.
