Elsevier launches new journal - International Journal of Marine Energy

STM publisher Elsevier has announced the launch of the International Journal of Marine Energy, a new journal devoted to publishing fundamental and applied research and case studies relevant to all forms of marine and ocean energy. Prof. AbuBakr Bahaj, Professor of Sustainable Energy and Head of the Energy and Climate Change Division at the University of Southampton, will serve as Editor-in-Chief.

Boston College High School opts for EBSCO Discovery Service

Library resources provider EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) has announced that the Boston College High School has chosen EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) as the basis for their library resource Corcoran One Search. After looking at several services, the librarians found that EDS had many highly desirable features including responsive web design, mobile accessibility and an easy-to-use discovery layer platform for students.

Wolters Kluwer Health and the American Physical Therapy Association in deal to publish the Journal of Acute Care Physical Therapy

Information and point-of-care solutions provider Wolters Kluwer Health and the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) have announced an agreement to publish the Journal of Acute Care Physical Therapy, effective with the September 2013 issue. The journal is the official journal of the Acute Care Section of the APTA. Dr. Glenn Irion will continue to serve as the Editor-in-Chief.

BioMed Central journals upgrade to full membership of Peerage of Science

Open access publisher BioMed Central has announced an increased involvement with Peerage of Science, stepping up to full membership for four of its journals - Frontiers in Zoology, BMC Ecology, BMC Evolutionary Biology and BMC Biology. Peerage of Science is a peer review initiative launched in 2011 with a mission of changing how peer review is done.
