Lippincott's Nursing Advisor app now available for individual purchase

Information and point-of-care solutions provider Wolters Kluwer Health has introduced the Lippincott's Nursing Advisor App, the first mobile application of the leading online clinical decision support solution for nurses. Available on iTunes and Google Play, the new app makes Lippincott's Nursing Advisor available for the first time for individual clinicians to purchase and use on their smartphones.

Copyright Clearance Center joins Open Researcher and Contributor ID Initiative

Copyright Clearance Center, Inc. (CCC), a not-for-profit organisation creating global licensing, content and Open Access (OA) solutions that make copyright work for everyone, has joined the Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID) initiative. ORCID is an open, non-profit, community-based effort to provide a registry of unique researcher identifiers and a transparent method of linking research activities and outposts to these identifiers.

The European Science Foundation has released a new report titled 'Science in Society: Caring for our Futures in Turbulent Times.' Recent times have seen the world having to learn to deal with austerity, libel and new models of business. The report calls for a more careful approach to the meaning of the notions 'science' and 'society' as articulated in many programmes, activities and policy discourses because neither 'science' nor 'society' are homogenous entities.

More than 500 titles to be added to UPSO platform in the September update

New titles will be added to University Press Scholarship Online (UPSO) with the September 2013 content update. This update will add over 500 titles to the platform across more than 20 subject areas. This new content has been brought to UPSO from 13 of UPSO's prestigious partner presses, including Oxford University Press.
