STM publisher Elsevier and technology publisher O'Reilly Media have announced that O'Reilly will distribute many of Elsevier's academic, research-focused ebooks. This expands the depth of ebooks available from O'Reilly in areas such as computer security and networking.

CCC and PubMatch partner to create Web-based sub-rights licensing service

Licensing solutions provider Copyright Clearance Center, Inc. has announced a partnership with PubMatch, the book publishing portal and rights database. Under the deal, CCC and PubMatch will create an automated, Web-based exchange for sub-rights deals focused on whole book translation and distribution rights, using CCC's RightsLink transaction engine.

Ingram Content Group expands CoreSource platform to include direct distribution to British Library

Ingram Content Group Inc. has announced that it has expanded its CoreSource platform to include direct distribution to the British Library, making it easy for publishers to comply with United Kingdom legal deposit law. Publishers and distributors in the UK have a legal obligation to send one copy of each of their printed books and paper publications to the Legal Deposit Office of the British Library within one month of publication.
