Elsevier acquires Mendeley

STM publisher Elsevier has announced the acquisition of Mendeley, a London-based company that operates a global research management and collaboration platform. Researchers worldwide use Mendeley's desktop and cloud-based tools to manage and annotate documents, create citations and bibliographies, collaborate on research projects and network with fellow academics.

SAGE to publish The Journal of Inborn Errors of Metabolism and Screening

Academic publisher SAGE has announced that it will publish The Journal of Inborn Errors of Metabolism and Screening (JIEMS), a new open access, online-only journal in 2013, with manuscripts being accepted in mid-April. JIEMS will be the official journal of the Latin American Society of Inborn Errors of Metabolism and Neonatal Screening (SLEIMPN).

NISO publishes annual review issue of 'Information Standards Quarterly'
