Elsevier launches new journal - Anthropocene STM publisher Elsevier has announced the launch of a new journal, Anthropocene. As a quarterly journal Anthropocene will publish research focusing on the effect of human activity on landscapes, oceans, the atmosphere, cryosphere, and ecosystems. The journal will be edited by Professor Anne Chin of the University of Colorado, who will be supported by a distinguished team of Associate Editors and an Editorial Board. First issue of the journal under the new partnership is due in March. Lt Col Jeff Garner, a consultant colorectal surgeon at Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, is the editor of the journal. The RSC will work in partnership with India's CSIR on an Open Source Drug Discovery (OSDD) initiative for the next three years.
