Springer Nature collaborates with tech industry to find innovative solutions for researchers

Springer Nature has partnered with leading global technology forum The Next Web (TNW) Conference to explore how technology can help improve the sharing, discoverability and use of research data. Springer Nature's latest Launchpad Meetup, held at TNW in Amsterdam, saw tech talent from across Europe present ideas on how researchers can be helped to extract more value from their experimental research data, through faster, easier routes of discovery and visualisation, organisation or sharing of data.

Wolters Kluwer and American College of Gastroenterology announce publishing partnership

Wolters Kluwer Health has announced a publishing partnership with the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) that adds three titles to the Lippincott portfolio. Beginning in January 2019, Wolters Kluwer will publish ACG's flagship scientific publication, The American Journal of Gastroenterology, as well as two additional official publications, Clinical and Translational Gastroenterology (CTG) and ACG Case Reports Journal.

Brill Publishers launches new OA journal - Bridging Humanities

Academic publisher Brill Publishers has launched a new Open Access journal: Bridging Humanities - Platform for Alternatives Methodologies. This will be launched during a special meeting at Impact Hub on June 7, 2018. The scope of the journal is to publish original projects that include visuals and other kinds of digital sources as an integral part of the publication.

IET Partners with Publons to show credibility of its peer reviewers

The Institution of Engineering & Technology (IET) has announced a formal partnership with Publons, an online platform that provides academic peer reviewers, editors and the wider research community with a validated track record of their work. Oxford University Press to publish journals of the Royal Economic Society

Academic publisher Oxford University Press and the Royal Economic Society have announced that OUP will publish the society's two journals, The Economic Journal and The Econometrics Journal, from January 2019, and provide online access to the digital editions including their archives. The Royal Economic Society claims to be one of the oldest economic associations in the world. It is a learned society founded in 1890 to promote the study of economic science.
