Nairobi Hospital to adopt three Elsevier Nursing solutions to improve patient outcomes in Kenya's largest private hospital

Elsevier, the global information analytics business specialising in science and health, has announced an agreement to supply Nairobi Hospital with its Nursing Suite. Nairobi Hospital is the first in Sub-Saharan Africa to acquire Elsevier's set of three Clinical Decision Support Solutions for nurses, including ClinicalKey for Nursing, Clinical Skills and Clinical eLearning.

Wiley and AMPCo announce new publishing partnership

Publisher John Wiley and Sons Inc. has announced its partnership with The Australasian Medical Publishing Company Pty Ltd (AMPCo) to publish the Medical Journal of Australia (MJA). The MJA is produced by AMPCo, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Australian Medical Association (AMA) — the most influential membership organisation representing registered medical practitioners and medical students of Australia.

New OA journal to address need for cosmetic aesthetic surgeons to access additional information on practical techniques and important clinical research

Dr. Foad Nahai, an internationally known educator and Editor-in-Chief of The Aesthetic Surgery Journal (ASJ) has announced the development of an Open Access Publication (a restriction- and subscription-free online research journal) that will address the needs of cosmetic/aesthetic surgeons worldwide for important hands-on information about surgical techniques and clinical research findings pertinent to the specialty. The new online publication titled Aesthetic Surgery Journal Open Forum will be published by Oxford University Press starting January 2019.

Cochrane announces future publishing and open access arrangements

Cochrane announced important decisions on its future publishing and open access arrangements, part of its commitment of making Cochrane evidence freely and openly accessible to everyone all over the world. Cochrane has agreed improved terms and a two-year extension of its existing publishing agreement with John Wiley & Sons, Limited, which means Wiley will continue to publish the Cochrane Library until December 31, 2020.

Frontiers in Physiology launches new Chronobiology section

Frontiers in Physiology has announced the launch of its latest section, Chronobiology, led by Professor Rodolfo Costa from the University of Padua, Italy. Prof. Costa's aim with the new section is to encourage collaborations and discussion between basic and applied chronobiologists; development of areas of research such as central-peripheral signals integration and rhythmicity in temporal domains other than circadian (i.e. seasonal, lunar and tidal).

Economics journals hosted on ARPHA to have their content indexed at RePEc

Following the recent integration between ARPHA and the collaborative project RePEc (Research Papers in Economics), journals publishing in economics will have their articles indexed in RePEc decentralised bibliographic database upon moving to the technologically advanced platform. Working with 50,000 registered authors from across the globe, having indexed about 2.3 million research publications from 2,800 journals, and serving over 80,000 email subscriptions on a weekly basis, RePEc's services are set to further increase the discoverability and creditability of economics papers published in any ARPHA-hosted journal.
