NISO launches new project to facilitate manuscript exchange across systems

The National Information Standards Organization (NISO) has approved a new project to develop a common means to easily transfer manuscripts between and among manuscript systems, such as those in use at publishers and preprint servers. Those who work in manuscript-processing areas such as production systems, preprint servers, and authoring services are invited to actively engage in community development of a NISO Recommended Practice intended to alleviate pain points encountered by researchers as well as service providers operating in the scholarly ecosystem.

Oxford University Press and Chinese Antibody Society partner to publish Antibody Therapeutics

Academic publisher Oxford University Press and the Chinese Antibody Society have announced their new partnership to launch the journal Antibody Therapeutics this spring. A peer-reviewed, online, open access journal, Antibody Therapeutics provides a forum for the publication of the latest advances and challenges in the discovery, research, development, manufacturing, and methodology of therapeutic antibodies for the global scientific community.

Remarq now available across journals published by American Mathematical Society

RedLink has announced that The American Mathematical Society (AMS) has joined the growing number of publishers offering Remarq, adding Remarq's robust interaction layer to six of its journals. Remarq is a tool for the research and education communities offering collaboration, annotation, commenting, article sharing, and editorial tools, all on the publisher's site and utilizing the version of record.

BioData appoints Steve Yemm as new CEO

BioData, producer of Labguru, the web-based research and lab management service, has appointed Steve Yemm as the company's new CEO, replacing Nils Drache who, after two and half years as CEO, will continue to be involved as a member of the company board. Steve Yemm has been BioData's Vice President of Sales for the last two years.

The University of Cincinnati Libraries joins HathiTrust

The University of Cincinnati Libraries have joined HathiTrust, a partnership of major research institutions and libraries working to ensure that the cultural record is preserved and accessible long into the future by collaboratively collecting, organising, preserving, communicating and sharing the record of human knowledge. UC Libraries joins more than 130 international research libraries in HathiTrust, and is the third Ohio library to join along with The Ohio State University and Case Western Reserve University.
