Brill and KNNV Publishing announce distribution agreement |
International scholarly publisher Brill has finalised an agreement with KNNV Publishing (Royal Dutch Society for Natural History Publishers) to distribute their foreign-language academic titles on Wildlife, Nature & Conservation. Elsevier publishes five new cancer therapy books |
STM publisher Elsevier has announced the publication of five new cancer therapy books, including Cancer Theranostics, edited by Xiaoyuan Chen and Stephen Wong. All of the new books will be featured at this week's American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting April 5-9 in San Diego at Elsevier's booth #635. Altmetric begins tracking mentions of articles on Sina Weibo |
Altmetric, supported by Digital Science, has begun tracking mentions of academic articles on Chinese microblogging site Sina Weibo. The data will shortly be fully integrated into existing Altmetric tools. The mentions collated will be visible to users via the Altmetric Explorer, a web-based application that allows users to browse the online mentions of any academic article, and, where appropriately licensed, via the article metrics data on publisher platforms. The Optical Society appoints Alison Taylor executive editor |
The Optical Society (OSA) has announced that Alison Taylor has joined the OSA Publishing staff as executive editor, where she will manage a portfolio of OSA journals, including its newest journal, Optica, which is set to publish its first issue in July. Journals published by Portland Press to move to HighWire Open Platform |
Portland Press Limited has signed an agreement to move its sector-leading journals, including the Biochemical Journal, Clinical Science and Bioscience Reports, to the HighWire Open Platform. The new journal sites will see more than 10,000 pages of research published annually and a catalogue of papers dating back 100 years hosted on HighWire by mid-2015. More
