Nature Publishing Group expands Nature family of research journals with the launch of Nature Plants |
Scientific publisher Nature Publishing Group (NPG) has introduced the newest member of the Nature family of research journals: Nature Plants. Launching in January 2015, Nature Plants will be the first journal in the field to focus on excellence in research across the plant sciences, building upon the cross-disciplinary model established by Nature Climate Change. SAGE membership of OASPA reinstated following six-month review |
Academic publisher SAGE has welcomed the announcement by the Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA) that its membership of OASPA has been reinstated in full, following a six month review period. In October 2013, OASPA's Membership Committee placed SAGE's membership under review as a result of concerns that were raised regarding the peer review policies of one of its journals – the Journal of International Medical Research (JIMR). New agreement between Max Planck Society and SPIE paves way for open access publication in SPIE Digital Library |
The Max Planck Society has announced a new agreement with SPIE the international society for optics and photonics. Research articles by authors at the Max Planck Society institutes that are published in SPIE journals will be open access. The Max Planck Society will pay open access fees for articles submitted by researchers at its institutes to any of the ten SPIE journals. More

Library resources provider EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) has announced that top humanities and social sciences journals via Rivisteweb are now searchable via EBSCO Discovery ServiceTM (EDS). Il Mulino, an academic publisher in Italy, offers the prominent journals for both Carocci Editore and Il Mulino via its online portal Rivisteweb. EBSCO Discovery Service users are now able to search the Rivisteweb metadata including 45,000 articles from over 80 journals. More
