Hearst Corporation's healthcare group, Hearst Health, has announced its acquisition of CareInSync, a software solutions company providing a real-time, mobile platform to improve patient care by enhancing communications between care providers and patients. Financial terms were not disclosed. CareInSync, will now become part of Zynx HealthTM, the market leader in providing evidence- and experience-based clinical improvement solutions. More

COAR launches strategic initiative to align repository networks |
Several major repository networks agreed to work together to further align their activities at the 'Aligning Repository Networks Meeting' in March 2014. At the meeting, convened by the Confederation of Open Access Repositories (COAR), delegates from Australia, Canada, China, Europe, Latin America and the United States agreed on a common vision and the shared principles of openness, sustainability, interoperability and diversity.
