Two OA journals from Chile join BioMed Central and SpringerOpen portfolio Open access publisher BioMed Central and SpringerOpen have announced the publication of two open access journals from Chile, covering biodiversity and conservation. Biological Research and Revista Chilena de Historia Natural are the official journals of Sociedad de Biología de Chile. Biological Research joins BioMed Central's portfolio and Revista Chilena de Historia Natural is part of SpringerOpen. He succeeds the founding Scientific Director Professor Amos Breskin, who has led the journal since its launch in 2006. The journal, which opened for submissions on April 3, will be published in partnership with the British Society of Gastroenterology, which already co-owns Gut and Frontline Gastroenterology, two of the 50 specialist titles published by BMJ.
