Aptean collaborates with CAS to offer CAS Biosequences content in GenomeQuest

Enterprise business software provider Aptean has partnered with CAS, a division of the American Chemical Society, to make CAS Biosequences content available on the GenomeQuest sequence search platform beginning in late March. Adding the CAS Biosequences Module to the Aptean GenomeQuest platform provides an additional source of human-curated biosequence content disclosed in patents and journals, extending the comprehensiveness of biotechnology IP searches and providing efficiency for users by making both of these critical resources accessible through GenomeQuest's powerful, user-friendly interface.

Springer Nature calls for cOAlition S policy to be evidence-based and focus on stimulating 'demand' and 'supply'

Springer Nature is strongly supportive of Plan S's goal to accelerate the adoption of Open Access (OA). The global OA publisher has called on cOAlition S participants to put evidencing and promoting the benefits of OA at the heart of their strategy as one of six recommendations it believes funding bodies worldwide need to adopt in order for full open access to become a reality.

Canadian Association of Research Libraries submits response to Plan S implementation guidance

The Canadian Association of Research Libraries (CARL) has submitted the response to Plan S's request for feedback on its implementation guidance. CARL's members include Canada's twenty nine largest university libraries as well as two national libraries. Enhancing research and higher education are at the heart of its mission. CARL develops the capacity to support this mission, promotes effective and sustainable scholarly communication, and public policy that enables broad access to scholarly information.

Silverchair appoints two new product executives
