Open Science advocate, activist, and researcher Dr. Jon Tennant will deliver a luncheon address at the National Federation of Advanced Information Services' (NFAISTM) 61st Annual Conference, February 13 – 15, 2019, at the Hilton Old Town Alexandria Hotel in Virginia. The NFAIS 2019 Annual Conference theme, 'Creating Strategic Solutions in a Technology-Driven Marketplace,' focuses on the technology innovations, changing market demands, and new opportunities for delivering faster and more dynamic user experiences.

Springer Nature advances its library services, offers KBART Automated Holdings Feeds for discovery services

Springer Nature is providing its customers with KBART Automation for knowledge bases and discovery services. KBART Automation is a highly beneficial service for libraries and research institutions, which helps to streamline their processes with minimum manual work involved. Springer Nature currently allows for KBART Automation of SpringerLink content to OCLC, Ex Libris' SFX and Alma. KBART Automation for Nature.com content is currently under development and will pave the way to a seamless one stop solution for Springer Nature automated holdings.

Dutch universities give OA another boost

The Dutch universities will give open access an extra boost from 2019 by starting a pilot titled 'You share, we take care' to make publications available after six months in collaboration with researchers. In order to achieve the Dutch ambition of 100% open access in 2020, agreements have been made with many publishers regarding open-access publishing.

2019 Best in KLAS: Software & Services report ranks Wolters Kluwer' UpToDate as category leader for clinical decision support
