IHS and Oxford University Press in deal to bring authoritative engineering reference books to broad engineering community

IHS Inc., a global source of critical information and insight, and Oxford University Press (OUP) recently announced that a collection of authoritative engineering reference books from OUP have been integrated into the IHS cloud-based technical research solution. This solution, called IHS Knowledge Collections, is used by engineers, scientists and researchers to find answers to tough technical challenges.

ProQuest has announced that the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) have selected ProQuest IntotaTM to help improve their existing workflow and ensure better control and visibility over the usage of their collections. Already a subscriber to Summon and 360 Link, the new purchase of Intota will transform the library's entire systematic outlook and approach by integrating discovery, management and assessment.

Healthcare sciences publisher PLM partners with IBM to launch mobile apps to deliver better patient care

Multinational technology and consulting corporation IBM has announced that PLM, a Latin American healthcare sciences publisher, has launched a library of mobile apps to deliver medical information on conditions such as cancer and heart disease. Healthcare providers using a mobile device can now access the most up-to-date information to deliver better patient care.

Ethnicity and Inequalities in Health and Social Care to be re-launched as the International Journal of Human Rights in Healthcare

Academic publisher Emerald Group Publishing has announced that the journal formerly known as Ethnicity and Inequalities in Health and Social Care, will be re-launched as the International Journal of Human Rights in Healthcare (IJHRH) from the first issue of 2015. The title change reflects the journal's new positive focus of promoting equality of treatment and access to health and social care, and also expands the scope of the journal to explicitly cover all aspects of potential discrimination in healthcare.
