'Maturitas' EMAS guide on endometrial assessment in peri and postmenopausal women

Elsevier has announced the publication of a clinical guide by the European Menopause and Andropause Society (EMAS) in the journal Maturitas. The guide, written by Eva Dreisler, Lars Grønlund Poulsen and others, is on endometrial assessment in peri and postmenopausal women with summary recommendations.

Coursera in partnership with SAGE to supplement online courses with free digital content

SAGE has announced a partnership with Coursera to expand the availability of educational resources to more than three million Coursera students. The partnership will grant Coursera instructors the option to supplement their video lectures with rigorously-developed, pedagogical content from SAGE at no cost to their students.

BioMed Central launches journal 'Acta Neuropathologica Communications' for quick OA publication

WorldCat database reaches 2 billion holdings landmark

WorldCat has announced that it has reached another major milestone with the addition of its 2 billionth holding. On May 4, MDT was set through an automated process to the WorldCat record for an e-book, marking the 2 billionth holding set in the database.

De Gruyter selects CLOCKSS for long-term digital archiving of databases and e-books

De Gruyter has announced that it is now archiving its 36 databases and 55 eBookPLUS at the CLOCKSS Archive. The partnership ensures that in the event of server failure and data loss, De Gruyter's content will remain globally available to the scientific community.

CCC awards travel stipend for academic librarians to attend ACRL event

CCC has announced the winners of its Conference Scholarship Programme for Academic Librarians. Each received a stipend to attend the ACRL 2013 conference in Indianapolis. Due to the high number of submissions, CCC is currently offering the same programme to attend the ALA Conference in Chicago.

Accelrys, Pfizer extend pact for scientific innovation lifecycle management software

Accelrys has announced that Pfizer has signed a three-year contract with Accelrys, extending the companies' existing strategic partnership.
