Dutch researchers' international performance ranked highest by Elsevier study

Elsevier has announced the outcomes of a study of Dutch researchers' international performance. The study showed that, in a comparison that includes the top 10 R&D spending nations, the Netherlands ranked No. 1 in publication impact per article and number 1 by level of international collaboration.

IUA renews alliance with Thomson Reuters for use of research evaluation tool InCites

Thomson Reuters has announced a renewed four-year commitment with the Irish Universities Association (IUA) for the use of the former's InCites tool. The indicators of InCites, a customised, web-based research evaluation tool, are seen to enable universities to measure research output and impact, and monitor trends.

SCL Health System opts for Health Language software to streamline ICD-10 conversion

SCL Health System has selected Wolters Kluwer's Health Language software for ICD-10 implementation. The solution will be leveraged to help the 2250-bed health system mitigate financial risk, improve clinical documentation and streamline conversion to meet the October 2014 deadline of the new clinical coding system.

EBSCO has announced that BioOne Online Journals will be searchable via EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS). BioOne aggregates publications in the biological, ecological and environmental sciences. The collection of high-impact bioscience research journals stems from societies, libraries, academe and the private sector.

Serials Solutions' Summon service indexes books from Taiwanese publisher Wu-Nan

Serials Solutions has announced that it continues to broaden the scope of Chinese-language content in the Summon service through an agreement to index more than 1,000 books from Taiwanese publisher Wu-Nan Book Co. Ltd. Wu-Nan will provide metadata and partial full-text for Summon indexing.

Charlesworth Group to provide XML services for new journal from Johns Hopkins centre

Charlesworth Group has been chosen by Johns Hopkins University Center for Communication Programs to help launch and provide XML typesetting services for the latter's online open access journal, Global Health: Science and Practice. It was launched in March and expects to publish four issues per year.
