China boosts top quality science publications by 35 percent in 2012

Authors based in China contributed 8.5 percent of all research papers published in Nature branded journals in 2012, up 35 percent on 2011 figures. This is according to the Nature Publishing Index 2012 (NPI) China, published as a supplement to Nature. Authors from institutions in China contributed 303 papers published in Nature branded journals in 2012, up from 7.0 percent (225) in 2011 and 5.3 percent (152) in 2010.

ASME presents seven awards at Offshore Technology Conference in Houston

The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) has presented seven awards recognizing technical achievement and distinguished service in the field of petroleum-related mechanical engineering. EBSCO and Infogroup in deal to provide business and consumer data from ReferenceUSA to libraries

EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) has announced a new agreement with Infogroup. The agreement allows EBSCO to resell ReferenceUSA, the leading provider of business and consumer research, to libraries. ReferenceUSA is a provider of business and consumer content, including real-time access to information on more than 24 million businesses, 235 million consumers, new U.S. businesses & new U.S. homeowners and Canadian businesses & residents.

Wolters Kluwer Health and Amirsys expand partnership to add two additional clinical anatomy and pathology image databases

Information services provider Wolters Kluwer Health has announced that it has expanded its partnership with Amirsys Inc. to offer two new clinical reference databases, the Amirsys Pathology Reference Center and the Amirsys Anatomy Reference Center, via the OvidSP medical research platform. The Amirsys Imaging Reference Center was released on OvidSP in March 2013.
