Wolters Kluwer unveils integration interface for Eipic, ProVation Care Plans

Wolters Kluwer Health has announced the general availability of its integration interface between Epic and ProVation Care Plans. The interface enables hospitals to create and customise care plans via the ProVation software and then make finished care plans available in the Epic inpatient clinical platform.

American Chemical Society in deal with Portico to preserve e-books

Non-profit electronic archiving service provider Portico has announced that American Chemical Society (ACS) has entered into an agreement with Portico to preserve its e-books. Through this agreement, ACS extends its relationship with Portico, which began in 2007 with the publisher's commitment to deposit its entire list of e-journals in the Portico archive.

ARL applauds Judiciary Committee's endorsement of bill to reform privacy laws

The US Senate Judiciary Committee last week took a key step toward fixing outdated privacy laws by endorsing a bill proposed by Chairman Patrick Leahy. The ARL has applauded Leahy and the Committee for their support for privacy protections online.

Elsevier announces winners of 2012 Semantic Web Challenge

STM publisher Elsevier has announced the winners of the 2012 Semantic Web Challenge (SWC). Determined by a jury of leading experts from both academia and industry, winners were announced at the International Semantic Web Conference recently held in Boston, MA. The challenge and allocated prizes were sponsored by Elsevier.

SAGE set to publish official journal of French Marketing Association - Association Française du marketing

Academic publisher SAGE and the Association Française du Marketing have announced a new agreement to publish Recherche et Applications en Marketing (RAM) from April 2013. A peer reviewed international journal edited by Joël Brée, the journal publishes original research in the field of marketing in French and is translated into English.

Taylor & Francis Group and the Australian Library and Information Association announce new publishing partnership

Publisher Taylor & Francis Group and the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) have announced a new publishing partnership for 2013. Beginning January 1, 2013 Taylor & Francis will publish and distribute ALIA's two highly regarded journals, The Australian Library Journal and Australian Academic & Research Libraries, under the Routledge imprint.
