Elsevier's ExitCare and MEDITECH expand collaboration

STM publisher Elsevier has announced that ExitCare, its enterprise-wide solution for evidence-based patient education and discharge instructions, is now integrated directly with the MEDITECH Electronic Health Record (EHR). ExitCare provides associated print, electronic and video patient education content and tools that are critical to increasing patient engagement and reducing readmissions.

NPG and the Australasian Society for Immunology launch new OA journal - Clinical & Translational Immunology

Scientific publisher Nature Publishing Group (NPG) has announced that Clinical & Translational Immunology (CTI), a new online-only open access journal, is live at www.nature.com/cti. Published by NPG and the Australasian Society for Immunology (ASI), the official launch coincides with the annual ASI meeting currently being held in Melbourne, Australia.

EBSCO Publishing and University Library Online in Russia partner to add educational and scientific literature to EDS

Electronic research databases provider EBSCO Publishing (EBSCO) and University Online Library in Russia have developed a new partnership. The new agreement allows content from University Online Library to be searched within EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS). The deal will add e-book metadata from the University Online Library collection into the Base Index of EDS.

Mendeley unveils open standards CSL Editor with Columbia University Libraries

Mendeley has released the open standards CSL Editor, produced in collaboration with Columbia University Libraries and supported by a grant from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. The product is projected as the first true 'what-you-see-is-what-you-get' citation style editor for open source CSL citation styles.

Sixty new publishers add content to Ingram's VitalSource e-textbook platform

Vital Source Technologies, Inc., an Ingram Content Group company, has announced that sixty new publishers have added more than 35,000 new digital textbooks and online course materials to its VitalSource Bookshelf platform. The most recent publishers using the VitalSource platform to reach the education market include fourteen of the most recognised university presses.

Academic publisher SAGE has announced a partnership with the Murphy Institute and the City University of New York to publish New Labor Forum, a national journal dedicated to the causes of working people and their communities. SAGE will begin publication of the journal in 2013.
