ProVation MD software receives top ranking in Clinical Procedure Documentation Category of 2012 Top 20 Best in KLAS Awards for 6th consecutive year

Healthcare information service provider Wolters Kluwer Health (WK Health) has announced that its ProVation MD software received top ranking in the Clinical Procedure Documentation Category of the 2012 Top 20 Best in KLAS Awards: Software and Professional Services report. This is the sixth consecutive year that ProVation MD has received the top honour in this category from KLAS.

New Pew Internet report on ebook readers, devices and awareness of ebook services in US public libraries

The Pew Internet has released a report titled 'E-book Reading Jumps; Print Book Reading Declines.' The population of e-book readers is growing. The report notes that in the past year, the number of those who read e-books increased from 16 percent of all Americans ages 16 and older to 23 percent.

'eLife' inaugural issue covers protein models and foreign DNA-detecting enzymes

Stanford neurosurgeon launches new OA medical journal

Stanford neurosurgeon Dr. John Adler has launched a new open-source medical journal that leverages crowdsourcing to make scientific research more readily available to the general public. Curēus is an 'open source' online medical journal that shares materials for free and allows researchers to publish their findings.
