Elsevier, Nature Publishing Group join ORCID in launching ORCID Registry

STM publisher Elsevier joined with ORCID, the Open Researcher and Contributor ID, to announce the official launch of the ORCID Registry. In a related announcement, Nature Publishing Group announced that once researchers have created their unique personal identifier at www.orcid.org, NPG is ready to include them in its manuscript submission system and nature.com registration.

Thomson Reuters' Data Citation Index connects researchers to data repositories worldwide

The Intellectual Property & Science business of Thomson Reuters has announced the launch of the Data Citation Index, a research resource within the Web of Knowledge, to facilitate the discovery, use and attribution of data sets and data studies that also link to peer-reviewed literature. This new research resource seeks to create a single source of discovery for scientific, social sciences and arts and humanities information.
