EDP Sciences set to publish open access acoustics journal

EDP Sciences (EDPS) and the European Acoustics Association (EAA) have announced their partnership to publish Acta Acustica united with Acustica (AAuA) from January 2020. The partners also announced that from this date there will be two additional major changes to the journal - the journal will become a fully gold open access journal ensuring the highest possible accessibility to quality research in the field of acoustics; and the journal's name will change (a further announcement will be made later this year).

CHORUS forms Academic Advisory Working Group

CHORUS is forming an Academic Advisory Working Group (AAWG), with leading librarians and academic research officers. The goal is to increase the involvement of academic institutions in CHORUS' development. Active participation by academic research institutions will help expand engagement and develop capabilities beyond CHORUS' current applications.

Flow Chemistry Society appoints Dr. Timothy Noel as Editor in Chief of the Journal of Flow Chemistry

The Flow Chemistry Society has named Dr. Timothy Noel from Eindhoven University of Technology as the new Editor in Chief of the Journal of Flow Chemistry. He succeeds Dr. Oliver Kappe (University of Graz) who held the position of Editor in Chief for 8 years. The primary objective of the Journal of Flow Chemistry is to stimulate the development and advancement of flow chemistry for the benefit and progress of the chemistry community.

Prof. Orfeu Buxton promoted to editor-in-chief of Sleep Health journal

Orfeu Buxton, professor of biobehavioral health and Social Science Research Institute (SSRI) co-funded faculty member at Penn State, was recently named the next editor-in-chief for the journal of the National Sleep Foundation, Sleep Health. Buxton was promoted after serving as an associate editor of the publication since 2015, the year Sleep Health was founded. His four-year term as editor-in-chief will begin in October 2019.
