Elsevier to integrate the NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology into Via Oncology

Elsevier, the information analytics business specialising in science and health, will integrate the National Comprehensive Cancer Network's NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology (NCCN Guidelines®) and utilise the NCCN Chemotherapy Order Templates (NCCN Templates®) as a reference into Via Oncology's Via Portal to provide clinical decision support at point of care and NCCN Guidelines® concordance reporting. The NCCN Guidelines will also be used as a reference resource for developing and maintaining the Via Pathways.

SN Comprehensive Clinical Medicine journal publishes first articles

The first articles have been published online in a new, SN-branded peer review journal that encompasses all aspects of clinical medicine. SN Comprehensive Clinical Medicine was launched in July 2018 under the leadership of Editor-in Chief, Dr. Massoud Mahmoudi, Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, in the US. Articles are currently accessible online; the first full issue will be published online in January 2019.

University of Winnipeg readies to go live with OCLC WorldShare Management Services by end of the year

The University of Winnipeg, a member of the Council of Prairie and Pacific University Libraries, has selected OCLC WorldShare Management Services as its new cloud-based library services platform. As part of the OCLC library cooperative and with WorldCat as its foundation, WMS enables libraries to draw on the collaborative data and work of libraries worldwide for more efficient workflows. The University of Winnipeg Library is currently implementing WMS and plans to go live with the service by the end of the year.

USDA and CHORUS sign participation agreement

The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) has signed an agreement with CHORUS to expand public access to the results of its funded research. USDA's Public Access Plan calls for collaboration with partners to 'maximise the impact of the Federal research investment.' CHORUS will monitor compliance with open access requirements to help maintain permanent, authoritative access to articles based on USDA-funded research.

PCG and ICE publishing extend 10-year sales representation relationship

Publishers Communication Group (PCG), an international sales and market research firm for the publishing market and part of the Ingenta Group, has secured a two-year extension to the contract with ICE Publishing, providing exclusive sales representation across North America. The content sales partner agreement, which PCG have now held for 10 years, comprises ICE Publishing's wide range of books and journals sharing expert advice, leading research and best practice in civil engineering and construction.
