Clarivate Analytics' annual Highly Cited Researchers list reveals influential scientific researchers and their institutions Clarivate Analytics, the global leader in providing trusted insights and analytics to enable researchers to accelerate discovery, has published its annual Highly Cited Researchers (HCR) list. Now in its fifth year, the citation analysis identifies influential researchers as determined by their peers around the globe – those who have consistently won recognition in the form of high citation counts over a decade. The Web of Science serves as the basis for the regular listings of researchers whose citation records position them in the top 1% by citations for their field and year. More Search for more news in this Category Search for more news in this Theme Jisc and Elsevier in deal to support UK institutions with REF compliance and identify article metadata more effectively Jisc, a not-for-profit organisation committed to providing UK universities and colleges shared digital infrastructure and services, and Elsevier, the information analytics business specialising in science and health, have signed an agreement setting out how they will work together to support institutions to comply with UK open access policies, as part of their Open Science partnership, agreed in 2016 as a component of the UK Elsevier ScienceDirect renewal. Elsevier publishes 17 percent of UK authored papers. This agreement, therefore, marks a significant contribution towards helping UK universities identify publications and contribute towards REF compliance. Meta, a free service from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, is a platform that uses artificial intelligence to help scientists read, analyse, prioritise, and draw insights across tens of millions of scientific papers.
