Elsevier and Al Hammadi in deal for implementation of Elsevier's Order Sets and Care Planning solutions in all three Al Hammadi hospitals over the next five years

Elsevier, the information analytics business specialising in science and health, has announced an agreement with Al Hammadi Company for Development and Investment (Al Hammadi) to implement Elsevier's Order Sets and Care Planning solutions in Al Hammadi hospitals across Saudi Arabia. Al Hammadi currently oversees three large hospitals in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: Al Hammadi Hospital Al Olaya (300 beds), Al Hammadi Hospital Al Suwaidi (428 beds), and Al Hammadi Hospital Al Nuzha (600 beds).

eLife, together with the non-profit Collaborative Knowledge Foundation (Coko), open-access publisher Hindawi Limited and digital consultancy Digirati, has announced a new formal partnership to develop the latest version of Libero. Community-driven and open-source, Libero is a platform of services and applications that help content providers do more with everything they publish.

BMJ launches new open access journal - World Journal of Pediatric Surgery

Healthcare knowledge provider BMJ has added a new title to its extensive portfolio of more than 60 specialist journals, with the launch of World Journal of Pediatric Surgery. The journal joins BMJ's other paediatric titles Archives of Disease in Childhood (ADC), ADC Fetal & Neonatal, ADC Education & Practice and BMJ Paediatrics Open. It is the first international open access journal focusing on children's surgery.

Federation University Australia launches institutional data repository by Figshare

Federation University Australia recently launched its institutional data repository, available at federation.figshare.com. Faculty and Higher Degree by Research students will be able to upload supplemental research data and non-traditional research outputs in order to receive a citable DOI and track usage metrics.

Four academic libraries in New Zealand migrate to OCLC's Tipasa

Non-profit global library cooperative OCLC has announced that four leading academic libraries in New Zealand have migrated to TipasaTM, the first cloud-based interlibrary loan management system that automates routine borrowing and lending functions for individual libraries. The University of Canterbury, University of Waikato, Auckland University of Technology and University of Otago expect to go-live in December 2018.
