Clarivate Analytics re-establishes Institute for Scientific Information to its Scientific and Academic Research Group

Clarivate Analytics, the global leader in providing trusted insights and analytics to accelerate the pace of innovation, has announced that it will re-establish the prestigious Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) to its Scientific and Academic Research Group. This new incarnation of the institute will be focused on the development of existing and new bibliometric and analytical approaches, fostering collaborations with partners and customers across the academic community.

Elsevier and Euretos announce joint pilot to bring AI-derived hypotheses into the scholarly dialog

Elsevier, the information analytics business specialising in science and health, and Euretos have announced a joint pilot to enrich scientific publications with hypotheses that are generated using the Euretos AI Platform. The pilot runs in collaboration with the International Journal of Biochemistry and Cell Biology (IJBCB). Focusing on an open question in an article's discussion section, a hypothesis is created and discussed in the 'Next Research' group on Mendeley.

Wiley announces new license agreement with Brazil to provide unlimited access to the Cochrane Library

Publisher John Wiley and Sons Inc. has announced a new license agreement with the country of Brazil providing unlimited access to the Cochrane Library. From academics to clinicians to patients, the two-year agreement provides one-click access to 7,000 published systematic reviews in healthcare interventions to more than 207 million Brazilians.

British Institute of Radiology launches new open access journal - BJR|Open

The British Institute of Radiology (BIR), the multidisciplinary membership society and publisher, has announced the launch of a new international, fully open access, online journal to be published alongside their growing collection of titles. BJR|Open will join BJR and BJR|case reports, publishing papers across the whole of the radiological sciences, including radiology, radiation oncology, radiobiology, medical physics, nuclear medicine and all allied areas.

Submissions now open for 2018 John Cotton Dana Award

The American Library Association (ALA) is now accepting submissions for the John Cotton Dana Awards (JCD). The John Cotton Dana Awards are managed by the Library Leadership and Management Association (LLAMA) division of ALA and honour outstanding library public relations. Each year, up to eight $10,000 awards are granted by the H.W. Wilson Foundation.
