Elsevier expands collaboration with the National University of Science and Technology MISIS to support engineering research and innovation projects

Elsevier, the information analytics business specializing in science and health, is broadening its collaboration with the National University of Science and Technology MISIS (NUST MISIS) in Russia by providing access to the full collection of high-quality Materials Science content. As of December 2017, NUST MISIS researchers have access to Elsevier's 'classic collections' in Materials Science published in 1995-1998.

SAGE Publishing and the National Psoriasis Foundation partner to publish the Journal of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis

Academic publisher SAGE Publishing has announced a partnership with the National Psoriasis Foundation to publish its specialty publication, the Journal of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis (JPPA). The journal provides the latest research and practical treatment information about psoriatic disease - a chronic immune-mediated disease affecting the skin and joints.

ACS Publications announces new manuscript submission guidelines

The Publications Division of the American Chemical Society (ACS) has announced 'Review-Ready Submission' as part of an ongoing effort to improve the author and reviewer experience. This change to submission requirements will save researchers time by eliminating journal-specific formatting. By simplifying the way in which a manuscript is prepared, 'Review-Ready Submission' will further ensure that authors, editors and reviewers focus on the science during preparation and peer review.

eLife enhances open annotation with Hypothesis to promote scientific discussion online

eLife, in collaboration with Hypothesis, has introduced open annotation to enable users of its website to make comments, highlight important sections of articles and engage with the reading public online. The open-source Hypothesis software has been extensively customised for use by eLife and other publishers with new moderation features, single sign-on authentication and user-interface customisation options now giving publishers more control over its implementation on their sites.

EBSCO and ByWater Solutions expand partnership to support its libraries using FOLIO Library Services Platform

EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) and ByWater Solutions have expanded their relationship to ensure libraries adopting the FOLIO Library Services Platform (LSP) will be able to rely on hosting and services support. Library groups partner to create ORCID US community

LYRASIS has announced a partnership with the NorthEast Research Libraries, the Greater Western Library Alliance, and the Big Ten Academic Alliance to create a US community to support ORCID, a non-profit organisation based in Bethesda, Maryland. ORCID provides a unique persistent digital identifier for individual scholarly researchers.
