ProQuest announces executive changes - Belanger to lead Books, Valade named CTO

ProQuest has named Rich Belanger as senior vice president and general manager of its Books business unit. Roger Valade has been promoted to Chief Technology Officer. Kevin Sayar, co-founder of ebrary and leader of the ProQuest Books team since 2011, is taking on an advisory role where his expertise will continue to help ProQuest's Books business grow and thrive.

International Anesthesia Research Society to adopt HighWire's Impact Vizor solution for strategic insights into its publishing program

HighWire Press has announced that the International Anesthesia Research Society (IARS) is the latest organisation to adopt its Impact Vizor solution for strategic insights into its publishing program. Impact Vizor aggregates data from a variety of sources, including citation data and other indicators that have been correlated to research impact.

Manchester University Press to migrate all books and journals to PubFactory in Spring 2018

Sheridan PubFactory and Manchester University Press are developing an online hosting platform that will bring together all of Manchester's books and journals, vastly improving the accessibility and support for institutions and the user experience for readers. The PubFactory platform has been adopted by a diverse and prestigious group of publishers including Oxford University Press, Harvard University Press, Journal of Neurosurgery Publishing Group, Brill, and the International Monetary Fund.

Frontiers in Public Health appoints Prof. Paolo Vineis as new Field Chief Editor

Frontiers in Public Health has announced the appointment of Prof. Paolo Vineis as the new Field Chief Editor. Prof. Vineis is Chair of Environmental Epidemiology at Imperial College, London and Head of the Unit of Genetic and Molecular Epidemiology at the Italian Institute for Genomic Medicine in Torino.
