The association has joined an effort to reform research and publishing practices. The Transparency and Openness Promotion (TOP) Committee has published the TOP Guidelines, a set of author guidelines that journals can adopt to enhance the transparency of the research they publish. The American Psychological Association (APA) has announced a partnership with publishing software company ReadCube to index their scholarly journal and book collections with ReadCube's Discover service. All 110 journals comprising the PsycARTICLES database, including several of the most highly cited and leading journals in psychology, along with more than 65,000 books and book chapters from PsycBOOKS have been fully indexed and are searchable across ReadCube's web, desktop, and mobile reading portals.
