Scope to participate in upcoming ALPSP International Conference

Scope e-Knowledge Center (Scope), a leading provider of knowledge services and a Quatrro Global Services company, has announced its participation in the ALPSP International Conference to be held at Park Inn Hotel and Conference Centre, London Heathrow, from September 10 – 12, 2014. Deborah Harman, Associate Vice President, Business Development, will represent Scope at ALPSP 2014.

Frankfurt StoryDrive searching for revolutionaries in the media business

Under the title "Hug the Alien", the all-media platform Frankfurt StoryDrive is looking for the revolutionaries of storytelling. Anyone can apply who wants to turn the media world on its head – or at least move it forward – with their idea, vision, project, (narrative) concept, service, business model or technology. At the pitching event "Hug the Alien", the three most convincing candidates will be given the chance to present their visions to approximately 400 participants at StoryDrive.

Brill set to launch Chinese version of corporate website at Beijing Book Fair

Scholarly publisher Brill is set to launch a Chinese version of their corporate website – brill.com/cn – at the Beijing Book Fair. Now available in Simplified Chinese, the website allows Brill to better serve the Chinese-speaking research and academic library communities. Users can choose between the English and Chinese version of brill.com by using the flag icons on the upper-right-hand corner of the site.

Kareo to discuss emerging technology at UBM Medica's Practice Rx conference in Philadelphia

HARRASSOWITZ announces 2014 Charleston Conference Scholarship winner

HARRASSOWITZ, a global full-service subscription agent and bookseller, has awarded the 2014 Charleston Conference Scholarship to Charlotte Roh, Scholarly Communication Resident Librarian at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. Ms. Roh was awarded the $1,000 scholarship to attend the conference, which takes place November 5 - 8 in Charleston, South Carolina.
