Key international associations come together to underscore their support for immediate open access to research articles

The Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition (SPARC) has joined major international associations in support of immediate open access to research. SPARC, along with five international partner organisations, recently released a statement underscoring the importance of immediate, free access to the research of research. As organisations committed to the principle that access to information advances discovery, accelerates innovation and improves education, these international associations endorse the policies and practices that enable Open Access.

Three new medical e-book collections are available from EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) - The American Journal of Nursing 2013 Books of the Year, Doody's Core Titles 2014 and Doody's 4-and 5- Star Reviewed Titles 2014. Journal of Perinatal Medicine becomes official organ of three additional research associations

The Journal of Perinatal Medicine (JPM), published by De Gruyter since 1973, has been the official organ of the World Association of Perinatal Medicine since 1999. This year, three additional international research societies have named the journal their official organ: the International Academy of Perinatal Medicine, the New York Perinatal Society, and the International Society of the Fetus as a Patient.

Feature rich Sheridan Connect e-commerce platform improves site experience for American Meteorological Society members

Sheridan has announced that it has been contracted by the American Meteorological Society (AMS) to establish a direct to consumer sales site that would simplify the sales of printed and electronic content as well as general merchandise to AMS members and customers. While there was an existing eCommerce platform in place, AMS was looking to replace it with a solution that would offer an enhanced shopping experience, expanded fulfillment features, and improved stability.
