Wiley launches new OA journal on immunology

Publisher John Wiley & Sons, Inc. has announced the launch of a new open access, interdisciplinary journal providing rapid publication of cutting-edge research across the broad field of immunology. Immunity, Inflammation and Disease is the latest journal to be launched from the Wiley Open Access programme.

Six Elsevier titles included in 2012 Choice Outstanding Academic Titles List

STM publisher Elsevier has announced that six of its works have been included in the 2012 Choice Outstanding Academic Titles List. Choice: Current Reviews for Academic Libraries, published by the American Library Association, is a source for reviews of academic books, electronic media, and Internet resources of interest to those in higher education.

SAGE welcomes OSTP announcement increasing access to results of federally funded scientific research

Ziyad Marar, Global Publishing Director of academic and professional publisher SAGE, has welcomed the OSTP Director's memorandum to Heads of Executive Department and Agencies directing agencies to develop clear and coordinated policies to increase access. IOP Publishing announces new journal - Surface Topography: Metrology and Properties

Non-profit scientific publisher IOP Publishing (IOP has announced the launch of a new peer-reviewed journal, Surface Topography: Metrology and Properties. This brings IOP's journals portfolio to 68 titles. The journal's Editor-in-Chief is Professor Richard Leach, Principal Research Scientist at the National Physical Laboratory, UK.

De Gruyter and YBP Library Services sign agreement to add academic ebook titles to GOBI3 database

Academic publisher De Gruyter has signed an agreement with YBP Library Services (YBP), the academic division of Baker & Taylor. Under the deal, nearly 10,000 titles from De Gruyter's eBook programme, e-dition, will be made available for purchase through GOBI3 (Global Online Bibliographic Information), YBP's acquisition and collection management interface.

Innovative Interfaces integrates SkyRiver operations, drops legal action against OCLC

Integrated library system software provider Innovative Interfaces has announced that all operations of sister company SkyRiver Technology Solutions, Inc. will be integrated into Innovative and that the SkyRiver cataloguing service will now become part of Innovative's product suite. In addition, Innovative has decided to withdraw the claims of the antitrust suit filed in 2010 and currently pending in federal court in Ohio.
