Springer and The American Meteorological Society partner for electronic distribution of book titles

STM publisher Springer has entered into a partnership with The American Meteorological Society (AMS) for the electronic distribution of their book titles for the next three years on SpringerLink. The agreement includes the distribution of monographs, textbooks and popular science titles as well as approximately five new titles annually in Springer's Earth and Environmental Sciences eBook Collection.

EBSCO to provide print and electronic information resources for NICE Electronic & Print Content Framework Agreement

Electronic research databases provider EBSCO has announced that it has been selected as a provider of print journals, e-journals, databases, ebooks and evidence-based clinical information for the new NICE Electronic & Print Content Framework Agreement. Following an evaluation process, EBSCO was selected for its highly-integrated technology and wide range of product offerings as well as its extensive customer support services and training.

CAS and IOP Publishing in deal to publish proceedings from ICPEAC

The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and IOP Publishing (IOP) have signed an agreement to publish the conference proceedings from the 28th International Conference on Photonic, Electronic and Atomic Collisions (ICPEAC) on an open access basis. IOP will be publishing the proceedings from ICPEAC for the third time running in the Journal of Physics: Conference Series.

Information services provider Wolters Kluwer Health has announced that British Columbia's Divisions of Family Practice has selected UpToDate as its evidence-based clinical decision support system. By integrating UpToDate into its member portal, the organisation's 4,000 practitioners can access the latest evidence-based information at the point of care and accrue Main-Pro CMS credits for each search performed.

Academic publisher Emerald Group Publishing Limited has announced the next batch of articles available in open access as part of its 'special partnership' with the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA). The articles, available to download from www.emeraldinsight.com/tk/iflaoa2013, are published in several of Emerald's LIS journals.
