Elsevier and ENA launch new eLearning course on psychiatric emergencies

STM publisher Elsevier has announced the launch of its new eLearning course, Handling Psychiatric Emergencies. Written by the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA), in collaboration with members of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA), and offered exclusively by Elsevier, the course provides nurses with the information they need to safely care for patients experiencing psychiatric emergencies.

Lexicomp and UpToDate collaborate to launch Integrated Patient Education solution

Information services provider Wolters Kluwer Health (WK Health) has announced that it has leveraged functionality from its Lexicomp and UpToDate solutions to create a comprehensive, embedded patient education offering for hospitals. Available in up to 19 languages, the Integrated Patient Education solution provides consistent information between Lexicomp and UpToDate.

Springer and Operations Research Society of China announce publishing agreement

STM Publisher Springer Science and Business Media and the Operations Research Society of China (ORSC) have announced an agreement to publish the Journal of the Operations Research Society of China (JORC), beginning March 2013. JORC is the flagship journal and official publication of the Operations Research Society of China.

Sheridan announces enhancements to full-text mobile journal apps

The Sheridan Technology Lab has announced significant enhancements to existing features for their Full-Text Mobile App offering, as well as several proprietary new features. Working closely with a number of scientific, technical, and medical publishers on current app development, The Technology Lab identified unique revenue and reporting needs that could be met through the creation of new features.

OCUL, ACUP/APUC and eBOUND partner to promote Canadian e-book scholarship

The Ontario Council of University Libraries (OCUL) and 12 members of the ACUP/APUC, in conjunction with eBOUND Canada, have partnered to promote and support the availability of Canadian scholarship in e-book format throughout Ontario's universities. Stated to be innovative in both scope and design, the agreement will provide access, via OCUL's Scholars Portal Books platform, to a collection of over 3,000 e-books published during 2007-2012.
