Library of Congress to host ICSTI 2012 Annual Conference

The International Council for Scientific and Technical Information (ICSTI) has announced that it will hold its 2012 Annual Conference & Exhibition on October 15-16, 2012 in Washington DC. The event, hosted by the Library of Congress, will follow the ICSTI membership General Assembly meetings taking place from October 13-14.

Winners of 2012 Scopus Young Researcher of the Year Awards announced

STM publisher Elsevier and the Australasian Research Management Society (ARMS) have awarded the winners of the 3rd annual Scopus Young Researcher of the Year Awards 2012, at the ARMS 14th annual conference at Australia, Gold Coast. The Scopus Young Researcher of the Year Awards is part of a global initiative by Elsevier recognising outstanding young scientists and researchers.

SAGE and Center for Italian Studies at Stony Brook University announce publishing agreement

Academic publisher SAGE and the Center for Italian Studies at Stony Brook University have announced a new agreement to publish the journal Forum Italicum from May 2013. Edited by Mario Mignone and published three times a year from 2013, the journal focuses on providing a balanced and wide ranging perspective on Italian culture by accepting both scholarly writings and other contributions of general Italian interest.

University Book Store has announced the launch of an in-store textbook rental service at its U District, Tacoma, Bothell and Health Sciences locations. The new programme is seen to complement its online rental programme, which has been available for two years now.
