STM publisher Elsevier has announced that Scopus is officially confirmed as one of the primary requirements for the research assessment of all Russian universities. Dr. Alexander A. Klimov, Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Russia, formalised this decision through Scopus' inclusion in the Government's regulating act titled 'Russia's Assessment of Higher Education Effectiveness.'

Worldwide cloud services market to surpass $109 billion in 2012, says Gartner report |
Gartner, a US-based information technology research and advisory company, has released a report which forecasts the public cloud services market to grow 19.6 percent in 2012 to total $109 billion worldwide. Business process services represent the largest segment, accounting for about 77 percent of the total market, while infrastructure as a service (IaaS) is the fastest-growing segment of the public cloud services market and is expected to grow 45.4 percent in 2012.
