Elsevier launches new assessment capabilities on its all-new ClinicalKey Student platform Elsevier, the information analytics business specialising in science and health, has announced the launch of new assessment capabilities available on its refreshed and rebranded ClinicalKey Student platform (formerly ClinicalKey Medical Education). The two annual awards are administered by Nature Research in partnership with The Estée Lauder Companies, and underline the commitment of both organisations to promote gender equity in scientific research and education. For the first anniversary, the team launched a feedback survey in order to better understand what their users need. More than 77 users from about 20 low- and middle-income countries shared their experiences. Half of them were librarians, 26 percent researchers, and almost 10 percent work as government officials. The theme of this year's conference was 'Change the Game'. The conference interrogated the role of the modern library as an agent of change and explored the transformation of library collections, spaces, and activities. It examined the need for diversity and inclusion within library audiences, the role of libraries within their communities, the relationship between research and public libraries, and the nature of the evolving scholarly record. The Association of Research Libraries (ARL) organised the event and participants included universities, libraries, library associations, and many other organisations, such as Authors Alliance, the Center for Media & Social Impact, New Media Rights, and Re:Create. Fifty-one ARL member institutions contributed a wide range of resources this year.
