Association of Universities in the Netherlands (VSNU) presents sector overview

In view of their central role in society, universities are expected to provide transparency and accountability. In an effort to meet this need, an overview of key data on education, research and impact, staff and finances has now been created for each individual sector and university. This overview sets a high bar for the university sector when it comes to transparency. It features all relevant figures, ranging from the number of assistant professors to solvency percentages, from real-world impact to labour market outlooks.

CABI's Global Health announces major upgrade

CABI's Global Health, the go-to bibliographic database for the study and practice of national, regional and international public health, has announced a major upgrade that includes a refreshed look, extended content and new features. Global Health now has its own interface and boasts more than 3.2 million records dedicated to public health, with full text hosted for over 100,000 articles including 375 CABI book chapters, 140 reviews from CABI's very own e-journal CAB Reviews and over 500 news items from 2014 onwards.

Emergency Nurses Association names Jessica Castner as Editor of Journal of Emergency Nursing

The Emergency Nurses Association has selected Dr. Jessica Castner as the new editor-in-chief of the Journal of Emergency Nursing, the association's official publication. Castner is an experienced researcher who has authored dozens of articles, studies, editorials and other publications on health care topics of importance to emergency nursing, such as the use of emergency health care and the impact of environment on respiratory health.

The Hungarian Electronic Information Service National Programme (EISZ) has signed an innovative Read & Publish licensing agreement with the Royal Society of Chemistry. The Iowa State University of Science and Technology (Iowa State) has established an institutional membership agreement for open access publishing with Frontiers. The Iowa State University of Science and Technology supports its researchers in making their research more widely available. Under the terms of this agreement, eligible authors from Iowa State University may publish in any Frontiers journal at no cost to the author.
