Springer Nature to publish the Canadian Journal of Science, Mathematics and Technology Education

The Canadian Journal of Science, Mathematics and Technology Education (CJSMTE), one of the leading academic journals covering the field of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education has now become part of Springer's prestigious education portfolio. CJSMTE is administered by the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto and was previously published by Taylor and Francis.

AAAS and Science & Technology Australia sign MoU to enhance the role of STEM on the global stage

The American Association for the Advancement of Science has signed a memorandum of understanding with Australia's leading scientific organisation, pledging to foster collaborations to enhance the role of science, technology, engineering and mathematics on the global stage. The agreement paves the way for joint activities, exchanges and collaborative initiatives to bring the Australian and U.S. STEM sectors together.

Cambridge University Press partners with Code Ocean to increase transparency and code executability

Academic publisher Cambridge University Press (the Press) has partnered with Code Ocean, a platform that enables authors of articles in Press journals to publish and share code associated with their research and readers to view and run that code from within articles. Sharing the code and data underlying research is an important step in demonstrating that the results presented in research articles can be reproduced.

Agreement between EBSCO Information Services and Infoestratégica Latina to offer libraries choice and support for FOLIO Systems

A new relationship between EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) and Infoestratégica Latina is designed to ensure that libraries adopting the FOLIO Library Services Platform (LSP) will be able to rely on hosting and services support. The agreement secures Infoestrategica's pledge to provide FOLIO application and support services backed by EBSCO hosting technology and data services.

Dr. Ned H. Kalin to succeed Dr. Robert Freedman as Editor-in-Chief of the American Journal of Psychiatry

The American Psychiatric Association (APA) has announced that Dr. Ned H. Kalin will assume the role of Editor-in-Chief of the American Journal of Psychiatry (AJP), beginning Jan. 1, 2019. He will succeed current editor Dr. Robert Freedman, when his third and final term ends on Dec. 31, 2018. Kalin is among the most accomplished biological psychiatrists, working to understand the brain mechanisms underlying mental disorders.

Cengage and RedShelf collaboration to broaden student textbook affordability options

Education and technology company Cengage and digital learning materials provider RedShelf have announced the expansion of their existing partnership to include Cengage Unlimited, while also formalising their collaboration on inclusive access. Beginning in August, RedShelf will offer Cengage Unlimited through the RedShelf.com eCommerce site and RedShelf Bookstore, the digital content platform that powers digital distribution for more than 600 college bookstores.
