KLAS report rates Wolters Kluwer Health's Sentri7 clinical decision support tool highest in pharmacy surveillance

Information and point-of-care solutions provider Wolters Kluwer Health has announced that a recent KLAS report found the Sentri7 real-time clinical decision support tool to be the highest-rated pharmacy surveillance product. CDS Surveillance 2013: Impacting Outcomes also reported 92 percent of customers who bought Sentri7 would purchase it again.

Maney Publishing acquires Materials at High Temperatures journal

Academic publisher Maney Publishing has purchased Materials at High Temperatures, and will begin publishing the journal from 2014, in its materials science & engineering list. Published quarterly, Materials at High Temperatures serves the needs of designers and engineers who develop and use materials for high temperature applications, often in extreme or aggressive environments.

IFLA Trend Report to redefine the boundaries of privacy and data protection

The IFLA Trend Report, scheduled for launch on August 19 in Singapore during the World Library & Information Congress, (Session 93: Plenary session), looks closely at changes to the boundaries of privacy and data protection in the evolving information environment. Social Media and Archives report details habits and preferences of archival researchers

Social Media and Archives: A Survey of Archive Users details findings from a survey of users of archives to learn more about how researchers find out about systems like ArchiveGrid, and the role that social media, recommendations, reviews, and other forms of user-contributed annotation play in archival research. The report is written by OCLC Research Consulting Software Architect Bruce Washburn, Research Assistant Ellen Eckert, and Senior Program Officer Merrilee Proffitt.

Research Libraries UK joins The European Library

The UK consortium of scholarly libraries, Research Libraries UK (RLUK), has recently joined The European Library. The new cooperation will allow for the ingestion of data from RLUK's member libraries into The European Library portal, providing researchers across the globe with greater access to digital items and bibliographic records held by these libraries.
