Elsevier to pair educational content with ClaimGear, CollaborateMD's online medical billing and coding solutions

STM publisher Elsevier has announced that it is pairing its educational content with ClaimGear, CollaborateMD's online solution for medical billing and coding education. ClaimGear allows students to perform real-world work such as adding patients, claims, payments, appointments, and run reports.

EBSCO and Al Manhal in deal to add Arabic content to EBSCO Discovery Service

Library resources provider EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) has announced that collections from Al Manhal, the largest provider of electronic resources in the Arab world, will now be searchable via EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS). The agreement between EBSCO and Al Manhal will allow metadata for their eBook, eJournals, eReports and eDissertation collections to be added to EDS.

British Journal of Surgery celebrates 100th anniversary

Publisher John Wiley & Sons, Inc. has announced that the British Journal of Surgery (BJS), the premier surgical journal in Europe, is marking its 100th anniversary with a number of special activities. As part of the commemorative events, a series of twelve leading articles, 'The Centenary Collection', will be published throughout the year.

PeerJ celebrates first anniversary

PeerJ recently celebrated the first anniversary of their original announcement. PeerJ was announced on June 12, 2012 and opened for submissions on December 3, 2012. The first PeerJ articles were published on Feb 12, 2013. This was followed by launching PeerJ PrePrints in April 2013.
