ORCID using Ringgold as Registration Agency for ISNI Institutional Identifiers

ORCID has entered into an agreement with Ringgold to provide its database of institutional entities and associated unique institutional identifiers, in the form of Ringgold IDs and the forthcoming ISNI numbers. These unique organisational identifiers will be used to support the accurate and persistent identification of researcher institutional affiliations in the ORCID Registry.

Information giant ProQuest is celebrating the 75th anniversary of Eugene Power's landmark project to capture the books indexed in the British Libraries' Short Title Catalog on microfilm. The work launched Power's company University Microfilms, Inc. (UMI), which would later become an essential business within the ProQuest enterprise, and marked a pivotal milestone for libraries, ushering in a new era that unlocked content.

Thyroid journal expansion to include video journal, abstracts and critical commentary

Marist College tests new library collection management service

Serials Solutions, a ProQuest business, has announced that Marist College, a recognised leader in the use of technology for enhanced teaching and learning, has begun using Intota Assessment. Intota Assessment is a library collection analytics service from Serials Solutions. Marist is the first Intota development partner to deploy Intota Assessment, and will be followed shortly by the other five partner libraries.
