Scientific publisher Nature Publishing Group (NPG) has announced that its Linked Data Platform now hosts more than 270 million Resource Description Framework (RDF) statements. The Elsevier Foundation, the academy of sciences for the developing world (TWAS) and the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) have announced the launch of an awards programme recognising talented early career women scientists from Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean. Each winner will be celebrated for their research excellence and will receive a cash prize of US$5,000 at the annual AAAS conference in February 2013. More
